The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026 will present Pankaj Tripathi with its ‘Artist of Distinction’ honour for his work in Indian cinema.
It marks the first time the National Award-winning actor will attend the festival in person to receive the recognition.
The festival runs from August 13 to 23 in Melbourne, Australia.
Rani Mukerji will also be recognised at the festival with an Honorary Doctorate, with both actors headlining the edition.
Tripathi’s career includes Sultan Qureshi in Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, a National Award-winning role in Mimi, and roles in Newton, Stree, Masaan, OMG 2 and Main Atal Hoon.
