North Korea won’t try to mend relations with the South

Some experts say Kim could be aiming to dwindling South Korea’s voice in indigenous security matters and communicate more easily that he’d seek to deal directly with the United States over the nuclear standoff North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his country would no longer pursue conciliation with South Korea and called for rewriting the North’s constitution to exclude the idea of participated statehood between the war- divided countries, state media said Tuesday. The major step to discard a decades-long pursuit of a peaceful junction, which was grounded on a sense of public unity participated by both Koreas, comes amid heightened pressures where the pace of both Kim’s munitions development and the South’s military exercises with the United States have boosted in a tit- for- tat.
